Mohawk Papers
Design Identity, Product Design ™
Inspired by the original paper mill and its industrial scissor roof, this identity nods to Mohawk’s 1931 founding with a signature 31° slant—an echo of legacy through form. Familiarity through marks and lines remain with an all together shift toward the makers of paper and artworks.
At the heart of the system is the Tonetear—a perforated strip that allows for easy storage and sorting, reinforcing the idea that the most important work often happens behind the scenes.
It’s a system built for flexibility: full grid or fragment, technical yet symbolic, always print-friendly. The focus isn’t just on what the paper is, but what you can make with it. Cost-efficient for high-profile projects and loose enough to invite play.
